Taxonomy
Nautilus calloviense was named by Oppel (1858).

It was recombined as Nautilus (Paracenoceras) calloviensis by Jeannet (1951); it was recombined as Paracenoceras calloviensis by Kummel (1956); it was recombined as Paracenoceras calloviense by Bardhan et al. (1994), Jain et al. (2024).
