Taxonomy
Nautilus sattleri was named by Krenkel (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tendaguru, which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania.
It was recombined as Paracenoceras sattleri by Kummel (1956).
