Taxonomy
Cassianopora hei was named by Xia (1999). Its type specimen is NIGP 86099 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ADL754, Shulaohe section, bed 15, which is in a Lacian marine siltstone in the Songgui Formation of China.
