Taxonomy
Teleoceras brachyrhinum was named by Prothero (2005). Its type specimen is F:AM 114433, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Skull Ridge, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Tesuque Formation of New Mexico.
