Paramiolabis minutus was named by Pagnac (2005). Its type specimen is F:AM 23749, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rak Division, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Barstow Formation of California.

D. Pagnac 2005Differs from P. singularis and P. taylori in its extremely small size, relatively large orbits, a narrowed ros- trum, very weakly developed lambdoidal and sagital crests, and inflation of the anterior frontals and lateral portions of the rostrum. Differs from P. tenuis in all the above characteristics as well as the consistent loss of the P1.
