Chlamys sanctiludovici
Taxonomy
Pecten sanctiludovici was named by Anderson and Martin (1914) [as "Pecten sancti-ludovici"]. Its type specimen is CAS 107, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pecten sanctiludovici type locality, which is in a Miocene marine horizon in the Santa Margarita Formation of California.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pecten (Pecten) bartschi by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Chlamys sanctiludovici by Moore (1984).
