Taxonomy
Retentactinia parvisphaera was named by Takahashi (2014). Its type specimen is TGU 9116 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is N01-05, Na Trang village, Lang Son City, which is in a Smithian carbonate limestone in the Bac Thuy Formation of Vietnam.
