Distortodon rhomboideus
Taxonomy
Distortodon rhomboideus was named by Makadi (2013). Its type specimen is MTM PAL2012.31.1, a maxilla (Partial right maxilla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iharkút mine, Bakony mountains (Unit 1), which is in a Santonian crevasse splay claystone/sandstone in the Csehbánya Formation of Hungary. It is the type species of Distortodon.
