Taxonomy
Wetlugasaurus malachovi was named by Novikov (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 4333/1, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsilma River, which is in an Olenekian terrestrial claystone/siliciclastic in the Charkabozh Formation of the Russian Federation.
