Inflectosaurus amplus
Taxonomy
Inflectosaurus amplus was named by Shishkin (1960) [= Trematosaurus sp.?: Sushkin, 1927, p. 277, text-figs. 5C, 5D, 7, 8
= Trematosaurus brauni?: Efremov, 1932, p. 58, pl. 1, fig 1.]. Its type specimen is PIN 2242/1, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bolshoi Bogdo Mountain, Lake Baskunchak, which is in a Spathian marine horizon in the Bogdo Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Inflectosaurus.
