Ichthyodectes libanicus
Taxonomy
Chirocentrites libanicus was named by Pictet and Humbert (1866). Its type specimen is MHNG GEPI V628, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (Humbert collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Ichthyodectes libanicus by Woodward (1901); it was recombined as Eubiodectes libanicus by Hay (1903), Forey et al. (2003), Cavin et al. (2013).
