Taxonomy
Derbyia sakamotozawensis was named by Shintani (2011). Its type specimen is NU-B1273 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SK14, Mount Tashiroyama, which is in a Sakmarian marine sandstone in the Sakamotosawa Formation of Japan.
