Phractocephalus nassi (cajaro)
Taxonomy
Phractocephalus nassi was named by Lundberg and Aguilera (2003). Its type specimen is MCN-USB OL-2142 (holotype), a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Mamon 1, which is in a Miocene fluvial-deltaic claystone/sandstone in the Urumaco Formation of Venezuela.
