Natrix merkurensis
Taxonomy
Natrix merkurensis was named by Ivanov (2002). Its type specimen is SGDB Ah-313, a mandible (a fragmentary right compound bone), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Merkur-North, which is in an Orleanian fluvial-lacustrine marl/coal in the Most Formation of the Czech Republic.
