Cionichthys greeni
Taxonomy
Cionichthys greeni was named by Schaeffer (1967). Its type specimen is AMNH 5600, a skull, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Schaeffer Fish Quarry, Otis Chalk, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial-lacustrine siltstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.
