Eoabelisaurus mefi
Taxonomy
Eoabelisaurus mefi was named by Pol and Rauhut (2012). Its type specimen is MPEF PV 3990, a partial skeleton (an almost complete skeleton, including the posterior half of the skull, five cervical and nine dorsal vertebrae, complete sacrum, 27 caudal vertebrae, left and ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jugo Loco site, near Cerro Cóndor, which is in an Aalenian/Bajocian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Cañadón Asfalto Formation of Argentina.
