Taxonomy
Aulacothyris gregalis was named by Bittner (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Blizanci, Trebević, near Sarajevo, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian carbonate limestone in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was recombined as Sulcatinella gregalis by Dagys (1974).
