Kronosaurus boyacensis
Taxonomy
Kronosaurus boyacensis was named by Hampe (1992). Its type specimen is "El fosil", Cronosaurio - Restauración y conservatión Asociación Colombiana para el avance de la cienca A.C.A.C., INGEOMINAS, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vereda Monquirá, ca. 5 km WNW of Villa de Leyva, which is in an Aptian marine carbonate in the Paja Formation of Colombia.
