Taxonomy
Paraschmidtella was named by Sidaraviciené (1992) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren-u D Fras-m].

It was replaced with Arpaschmidtella by Meidla (1996); it was replaced with Ledanina by Sidaraviciené (2001).

It was assigned to Palaeocopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Schmidtellidae by Abushik and Evdokimova (2016).
