Taxonomy
Nucia coxi was named by Morris and Collins (1991). Its type specimen is BMNH In 62164, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Labuk Road from Sandakan, J.771, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in Malaysia.
