Saitoum thayeri
Original description: Test small, hemispherical perforate with variable size of elliptical pores. Aperture subcircular in outline, with velum-like structure. Horn short, triradiate. Feet long, triradiate with three deep, wide grooves alternating with three ridges, grooves about twice as wide as ridges.
Original remarks: Saitoum thayeri, n. sp. differs from Saitoum smithi, n. sp., by having variable size of pores on cephalis, and by having velum-like structure around aperture.
Etymology: This species is named for Dr. T. P. Thayer for his contributions to the geology of east-central Oregon.
