Taxonomy
Paraderbyia exserta was named by Sun (1983). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tuotala Mountain section, Duoma, Rutog, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Tunlonggongba Formation of China.
It was recombined as Derbyia exserta by Clapham (2015).
