Microposaurus casei
Taxonomy
Microposaurus casei was named by Haughton (1925). Its type specimen is SAM-PK-6556, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wonderboom Bridge, Burgersdorp, Farm Cragievar, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone/siliciclastic in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Microposaurus.
