Taxonomy
Fistulipora tenella was named by Sakagami (1966). Its type specimen is WKM-2-06 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ko Muk WKM-2, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Rat Buri Formation of Thailand.
