Taxonomy
Pseudobatostomella sparsa was named by Morozova (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 2609/6 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NW Caucasus, Sakhray River, which is in an Anisian marine limestone in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Arcticopora sparsa by Nakrem and Ernst (2008).
