Taxonomy
Stenodiscus instabilis was named by Liu (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhagan Chulu, Wujiatun Formation, Bayan Wulan, Jalaid Qi, which is in a Wordian/Capitanian marine horizon in the Wujiatun Formation of China.
