Taxonomy
Lucina omaliusi was named by Deshayes (1858). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Saxolucina (Megaxinus) omaliusi by Glibert and de Heinzelin (1954); it was recombined as Megaxinus (Megaxinus) omaliusi by Glibert and van de Poel (1967); it was recombined as Megaxinus omaliusi by Neuffer (1973); it was recombined as Pegophysema omaliusi by Marquet et al. (2008).
