Knightites multicornutus
Taxonomy
Knightites multicornutus was named by Moore (1941). Its type specimen is KU 32693, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is US Highway 40, 9.4 miles west of Lawrence, 3 miles south of Lecompton, which is in a Virgilian carbonate limestone in the Deer Creek Formation of Kansas.
It was recombined as Knightites (Knightites) multicornutus by Knight et al. (1960).
