Taxonomy
Allotropiochisma (Abeophyllum) texanum was named by Fedorowski (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 196705 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM701p, Wolf Camp Hills, Glass Mountains, which is in a Gzhelian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Gaptank Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Allotropiochisma (Abeophyllum).
