Hyperokynodon keuperinus
Taxonomy
Hyperokynodon keuperinus was named by Plieninger (1852). Its type specimen is SMNS 16670, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jägerhaus quarry, Wartenberg, Heilbronn, which is in a Carnian terrestrial sandstone in the Stuttgart Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Hyperokynodon.
