Globocardium was named by Hayami (1965) [Sepkoski's age data: K Apti-l K Albi-u]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Protocardiinae by Vokes (1980); to Lahilliinae by Schneider (1995); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
