Taxonomy
Dosiniopsis was named by Conrad (1864) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes T Eo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Callista (Dosiniopsis) by Whiteaves (1885); it was reranked as Callista (Dosinopsis) by Stanton (1893).

It was assigned to Callista by Whiteaves (1885) and Stanton (1893); to Pitarinae by Adegoke (1977), Vokes (1980) and Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
