Picrocleidus beloclis
Taxonomy
Muraenosaurus beloclis was named by Seeley (1892). Its type specimen is BMNH R.1965, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peterborough area, Leeds Collection, which is in a Callovian offshore mudstone in the Oxford Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Picrocleidus beloclis by Andrews (1909), Andrews (1910), Benson and Druckenmiller (2014).
