Hexaprotodon shungurensis
Taxonomy
Hexaprotodon shungurensis was named by Geze (1985). Its type specimen is Omo 56-68-3100 & Omo 56-68-3101, a partial skull (calvarium and mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Omo - member C, which is in the Gelasian of horizon the Shungura Formation Ethiopia.
