Taxonomy

Nichollssaura borealis was named by Druckenmiller and Russell (2009). It is not extant. It is the type species of Nichollssaura.

Synonyms

Nichollsia borealis was named by Druckenmiller and Russell (2008). Its type specimen is TMP 94.122.01, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Base Mine, Syncrude, which is in an Albian marginal marine sandstone in the Clearwater Formation of Canada.

It was replaced with Nichollssaura borealis by Druckenmiller and Russell (2009).
