Astraea (Pomaulax) morani
Taxonomy
Astraea morani was named by Loel and Corey (1932). Its type specimen is LSJU 615, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. A-527, San Joaquin Hills, which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
It was synonymized subjectively with Astraea (Pomaulax) biangulata by Addicott (1970); it was recombined as Astraea (Pomaulax) morani by Hall (2002).
