Vanastega plurimidens
Taxonomy
Vanastega plurimidens was named by Damiani and Kitching (2003). Its type specimen is BP/1/4004, a partial skull (Partial skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Farm Nooitgedacht, Burgersdorp District, which is in an Anisian dry floodplain mudstone in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Vanastega.
