Taxonomy
Sulcularia lipara was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 369323, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Sulcoretusa sulcata lipara by Woodring (1970).
