Taxonomy
Phacoides (Here) andersoni was named by Olsson (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lomitos Cgl, Talara Fm - Yasila and Jaquay Cunas, which is in a Bartonian coastal sandstone in the Talara Formation of Peru. It is the type species of Illesca.
It was recombined as Linga (Illesca) andersoni by Cox et al. (1969).
