Protocentrophorus balticus
Taxonomy
Centrophorus balticus was named by Dalinkevičius (1935) [lectotype designated by Adnet et al. 2008]. Its type specimen is COLL-VU 7, a tooth (anterolateral tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Skirsnemunė (beds with Rhynchonella octoplicata), which is in a Cenomanian offshore marl in the Labguva Formation of Lithuania.
It was recombined as Protocentrophorus balticus by Adnet et al. (2008).
