Licharewina josephinae

Taxonomy

Cyrtina josephinae was named by Gemmellaro (1899). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pietra di Salomone, calcare grossolano, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy.

It was recombined as Licharewina josephinae by Shen and Clapham (2009).

Synonyms

Licharewina praetriassica was named by Kotlyar et al. (2004) [Central Research Museum of Geological Exploration (CRMGE) in St. Petersburg]. Its type specimen is CRMGE 1253/2139, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Severnaya Ravine, Lower Urushten Formation, Malaya Laba River, NW Caucasus, which is in a Changhsingian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Urushten Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Licharewina josephinae by Shen and Clapham (2009).
