Loxoceras yokoyamai was named by Kobayashi (1927). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UMUT PM0016, a shell.
It was recombined as Sactoceras yokoyamai by Kobayashi (1934); it was recombined as Ormoceras yokoyamai by Yun (1999); it was recombined as Treptoceras yokoyamai by Niko (2002).
