Taxonomy
Narthecoceras dunni was named by Frey (1981). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MU 262T, a shell. Its type locality is Dodge's Creek, which is in a Richmondian shallow subtidal limestone in the Whitewater Formation of Ohio.
