Taxonomy
Hoplitoides munieri was named by Pervinquiére (1907). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bauchioceras (Wrightoceras) munieri by Reyment (1954); it was recombined as Wrightoceras munieri by Chancellor (1982), Zaborski (1987), Kennedy et al. (1987), Chancellor et al. (1994), Meister et al. (2003), Barroso-Barcenilla and Goy (2007), Kennedy et al. (2008), Ayoub-Hannaa and Fürsich (2012).
