Karakia longidens
Taxonomy
Karakia longidens was named by Thewissen et al. (2001). Its type specimen is H-GSP 97199, a mandible (mandibular fragment with posterior part of p3, complete p4, m2, and m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Karak, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Mami Khel Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Karakia.
