Avenius amatorum

Taxonomy
Avenius amatorum was named by Russell et al. (1992). Its type specimen is AV-1093-Ph, a tooth (right [lower] M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V6168, Avenay quarry, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial horizon in the Lignites de Soissonais Formation of France.
