Piceoerpeton willwoodense

Taxonomy
Piceoerpeton willwoodensis was named by Meszoely (1967). Its type specimen is YPM (PU) 18021, a set of vertebrae (trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Piceoerpeton willwoodense type locality, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Piceoerpeton.

It was corrected as Piceoerpeton willwoodense by Naylor and Krause (1981), Estes (1981), Gardner (2012).
