Pachycentrata taqueti
Taxonomy
Pachybatrachus taqueti was named by Báez and Rage (1998). Its type specimen is MNHN-IBC 1404, a partial skull (braincase and otic capsules), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is In Becetèn, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian fluvial-lacustrine shale/sandstone in the Inbeceten Formation of Niger. It is the type species of Pachybatrachus, Pachycentrata.
It was recombined as Pachycentrata taqueti by Báez and Rage (2004), Báez and Harrison (2005).
