Taxonomy
Thecodontosaurus minimus was named by Ellenberger (1970). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Matsepe (zone B/1), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial horizon in the Elliot Formation of Lesotho.
