Eosauropus cimarronensis
Taxonomy
Eosauropus cimarronensis was named by Lockley et al. (2006). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CU MWC 172.21, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Peacock Canyon tracksite, which is in a Norian floodplain sandstone/siltstone in the Sloan Canyon Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Eosauropus.
